This is an manual drive and electric lift walkie pallet stacker work positioner. An electric pallet stacker is typically used in small to medium sized warehouses or factories. This electric pallet stacker is perfect for loading and unloading trucks as well as lifting pallets onto racking.
This LiftScience Brand electric pallet stacker is powered by a rechargeable battery and will easily run an entire 8 hour work shift in-between charges.
This is a "forkover design" electric pallet stacker which means the forks lower right on top of the stabilization legs. The advantages of this electric pallet stacker design are that it is less expensive, takes up less space and can maneuver in tight aisles. The disadvantage is since the forks are directly over the stabilization legs, you cannot pick up a closed bottom pallet directly from the floor; however, this is still an excellent choice for unloading trucks and this disadvantage can be overcome with either open bottom pallets/skids or blocks.

How long will the battery last in this electric pallet stacker?
This is a two part question: 1) How long will it last in daily use? and 2) What is the battery's lifespan before needing to be replaced? The battery in this electric pallet stacker will easily last a complete 8 hour work day. These are deep cycle lead acid construction batteries which are designed to supply a steady current and voltage for a long period of time. As with all batteries, some periodic maintenance of cleaning the terminals and making sure the connections are tight is required. After cleaning, any anti-corrosion product typically availalbe at an auto parts store should be applied. The battery will last for several years if cared for properly. In addition to the maintenance mentioned above, the batteries should be charged regularly, if not daily, then certainly weekly. Even if the electric pallet jack has not been used much and the batteries seem to be nearly fully charged, a recharging will help lengthen their life by preventing the build up of sulphate compounds on the plates.

Replacement batteries are most easily purchased through a local industrial supply company such as Grainger or virtually any auto parts store. Typical cost will be $100-$300.
