This is a two part question: 1) How long will it last in daily use? and 2) What is the battey's lifespan before needing to be replaced?

The battery will easily last a complete 8 hour work day. These are deep cycle lead acid construction batteries which are designed to supply a steady current and voltage for a long period of time. As with all batteries, some periodic maintenance of cleaning the terminals and making sure the connections are tight is required. After cleaning, any anti-corrosion product typically availalbe at an auto parts store should be applied.

The battery will last for several years if cared for properly. In addition to the maintenance mentioned above, the batteries should be charged regularly, if not daily, then certainly weekly. Even if the electric pallet jack has not been used much and the batteries seem to be nearly fully charged, a recharging will help lengthen their life by preventing the build up of sulphate compounds on the plates.

Replacement batteries for forklifts like this are most easily purchased through a local industrial supply company such as Grainger or virtually any auto parts store. Typical cost will be $100-$300.

Virtually any material handling equipment company can service our forklifts. Most of the technology and components in our forklifts are industry standard. We stock many of the parts for our forklifts in our Seattle warehouse.

Unlike a traditional sit down forklift, an electric walk behind forklift truck operator usually does not need a formal license or certification; although you are advised to contact your local or state Occupational Safety office for complete details. Training in the safe operation of forklifts like this is a smart thing to do and should be completed. It is possible to use our Operation's Manual as a guildline for training or to procure any of the many training packages which are commercially available.

Your walk behind forklift will be delivered either in a wooden crate or securely attached to a pallet. If you do not have a truck height loading dock, you will need either a pallet stacker / forklift to unload the truck or we can arrange a truck with a liftgate (extra charge) for delivery.

Your electric walk behind forklift will come completely assembled and ready to use after a charge. There is no assembly required.

Sorry, we only ship under our own freight accounts. We used to allow customer arranged shipping but found ourselves taken advantage of in too many ways. In order to maintain our low prices, we no longer can afford to deviate from our process. Also, since we ship our forklifts out of several different warehouses we cannot offer local pickup.

We collect sales tax on forklifts delivered within the State of Washington.

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Checks (held for 7 business days), wire transfers, and Paypal. We can issue you pro-forma invoice or quote and reference your internal PO# but we do require complete payment at time of order.
